M-CARE 2018: SHARING THE OUTCOMES OF THE MIGRANT ADVOCATES TRAINING PROGRAMME

Today, Africa Advocacy Foundation (AAF) and the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) are launching the M-Care 2018 training programme report. Together with the report we are also launching a set of video interviews where members of the M-Care group -both trainees and trainers- are sharing their experiences from the courses as well as their aspirations after the completion of the programme.

Between March and June 2018, over the course of the three modules of the programme, a group of twenty European migrant community advocates facilitated by thirteen trainers created a network willing to empower and bring positive changes back to their communities. Participants enhanced their skills, resources and capacities to mobilise, educate and empower their communities to fully participate in healthcare services access and in shaping the planning and delivery of healthcare services.

The enthusiasm of the training participants has been the key to the success of the M-Care 2018 programme. We are definitely sharing the same enthusiasm and looking forward to sustain and expand this network of dedicated migrant advocates.
